"The boundaries set my imagination and taste" - THE BODY - Bryce Thompson.

The Face of "Men's Health" covers. The body. If Megan Fox has female haters because of her beauty, Bryce Thompson has male haters because of his body and female haters because he's not spending the nights in their beds. Ladies & Gents, "THE BODY". Actually the first one who can talk and has a charisma to die for.

Fetish: At last, thought I won't ever get you. I think you're a master of a "Hide and Seek" cause catching you is almost impossible. You are so busy now or just travelling and enjoying holidays?
Bryce Thompson: Its kinda busy at the moment, Just jumped out of New York to work in Europe for August. Gonna be an exiting year!!

Saw you in last Garnier's spot. How did it happen that you got in with Will Chalker? He's a living legend!
The Garnier crew were casting for someone to work with Will and fill a gap in marketing. He is the blonde machine, I filled in as the dark ninja. Was an awesome job, shooting over 5 days in South Africa.

Let's play "Gossip Girl" - how is he? It is said that top models are self-confident morons and if they could they would be fucking a mirror till the end of their lives.
Will is honestly a legend. He is a boxer, competing in the amateur division in England, and far from a mirror fucker. He cruises around in his training tracksuit and does not give in to the constant need for glamour.

Do you have a nickname?
Used to get called " Bear" when I was playing rugby and pro-paintball. I used to be a lot larger during rugby days!

You should have nickname - THE BODY. And don't you dare telling me that's not true. I wasn't the one on the cover of "Men's Health". Dude, you look amazing. Now, without any lies - have you been born in gym? How much time do you spend in gym? What does your trainning look like?
Training is part of my job, I am required to be in better shape than most. It's not a easy lifestyle choice, it is a job. I do train at least 3 times a week, and when I train, it's to the point of vomit and exhaustion. If i get the time, I would be in the gym, at least 5 times a week.

Well I can see that! You're a six pack monster! What are the secrets of your diet?
Diet is the key, I try to eat very lean lots of fish, small meals at night, large breakfasts. The secret is to eat lean and never consume more than you burn!

How is it like to be on a cover of "Men's Health"? I have to say I hate this magazine, but hey, it's like the Bible for thousands of men! How did you feel when you saw yourself on the cover as a role model?
"Men's Health" was a benchmark for me, every guy who hits the gym. When I got my first cover, I believed that I had made it as a male model, really felt that I had reached the top. After that, I just wanted to solidify myself as a fitness model. So I kept pushing for more covers, I managed to get 6 covers from 2008 -2009. It does feel amazing to be the cover of a magazine that many men lead their health and fitness life by.

Probably a lot of men hate you because of your body, what about the girls? Is it easier or harder to get a girl being... well, fucking perfect? Cause you like like every mother-in-law's dream boy! "A" abs, killer smile, sexy look - you gotta attitude. And by the way I am gonna die if you'll tell me you're shy...
Not too shy, kinda just comfortable. I realize that you can't go through life making everyone happy, but I do love the comfortable situations in life, I have a really close connection to my family and I will always treat a woman right, Chivalry is not dead! I think Ladies appreciate that.

Talked bout the girls, let's talked bout gays. Any funny situations? I don't believe that you're not catching their eyes!
Gay men, are still just dudes, we are all the same when we see something we like, I don't have any funny situations, but that is because i have a lot of gay friends, and a sense of humor to match.

Giiiiirl, show me what ya got! (laughs) How do you feel with your own body, sexuality?
Everyone has insecurities, I have mine and I think being too comfortable comes across as arrogance. I already have enough people saying I am way too arrogant.

I asked that question because I would like to know if there are any boundaries that you will never overstep. Fashion is lately all about sex, nudity, also religion since Lady Horse-Face Gaga came onto the scene.
It's difficult to say, it all depends on the photographer and the way he is portraying your images.
I have gone from nude to wearing a gimp mask on the same day. I think the boundaries set my imagination and taste.

How is it like to be naked between the photographer and other people? Isn't it embarassing?
It's not quite as naked as it seems, yes, you are self conscious, as well as hoping all is well. But you are usually covered and tasteful between shots and it loses the sexual feel while there are a ton of people around, who have all done this before.

Okay, enough bout the body: what are you up now to?
At the moment, I am in Hamburg, based here for August, I have been doing some photography on the side, which is going well. Also my sister just came to Germany, for modeling and this is her first time out of South Africa, so we're getting to spend some time together as well as get some work in.

Do you have any dream you would like to realise? I mean in fashion. Is there anyone you would like to work with? Do the photo-shoot? Runway show?
I met with Bruce Weber and did some polaroids, I really wanna shoot a beautiful story with him.
Also I am chasing the brands, just like most models who want to make it , and make a name for themselves, as well as make cash.

By the way, have you ever did the runway show? I can't remember seeing you anywhere.
Actually no, I usually head to other markets during the show seasons, as there is a lack of models in town then and I get to break into new clients. At the end of this year in New York, will be my first show season. Previously I was too big, I have showed down in side and ready to rock some shows for NY fashion week.

If your could describe yourself. What would you say about you?
I am a family first, friends forever, no bullshit , free spirit. I love to explore, and overcome challenges, and Zoolander is an amazing movie!!! Besides all that, just dominate !!!

The last question: Tell me something that people might not know about you.
Umm, I play xbox games online and I shop like a maniac. And to this day, i have never tried an illegal substance!

Galliano's Charlie is creepy.

Let's not cheat each other. We've seen everything and there's nothing new in fashion and other media that will suprise us. Fashion and art became boring. Oops, sorry! Gone too far! There is something - Lady Gaga will commit a suicide in public and that will be something spectacular. Probably she will make it at one of her concerts and it will be the most expencive suicide in world's history. With the biggest audience ever.

We used John Galliano's ideas like we used to the fact that Vivienne Westwood doesn't like to wear undies and she will be the most incredible representative child of punk ever. I was hoping he will suprise me. I was praying to God to make it happen. "All hopes in Galliano - I said to my friend while sipping a coffee - Other collections were like a sugar cube - you just remember the fact you put it into your tea and later you totally don't remember the fact of it's existence". The same happened to all men's collections for Spring 2011. I cried when I saw "brand new" Rick Owens. What was that? Leftovers of his old collection with the new labels on?! Even mentioned before Westwood did nothing impressive - she let the pirates from the past to fuck her gardeners and TA-DAH! new collection's ready. So I was waiting for Galliano - my last hope. And what? He served me Charlie Chaplin after one night with Amy Winehouse and Pete who was after breaking up with Kate mixed with The Adams Family to whom Emily Rose came with a summer visit and a rehab from the Satan. Was it innovative? Creative? No. It was boring. "Little Tramp" should be called "Homeless" cause all the clothes looked like they were designed for Jack The Ripper or at least Freddie Kruger who's preparing for the fight with Jason. Oversized, ripped clothes, big trousers, and hats for beekeepers? Fake (made with make up) muscles on models? Was it more tanned version of Robert Pattinson's creation from "New Moon" or did I miss something? Maybe all those muscular models looked good on the runway but can you imagine men dressed like that walking on the street? Let's take some John Doe, age 30. He would look grotesquely. And even if there's an element of a joke in the whole collection - this joke is not funny at all. Creepy Charlie wasn't something I expected to get from such a visionary.

I am bored with dressing up as Hollywood Legends. I am bored with all those stylizations! Every "star" wants to be Marylin Monroe: Scarlett Johanson in D&G's campaign, Lindsay Lohan, even Jennifer Lopez dressed as Marylin was singing "Happy Birthday" to some TV host in his own show! All fresh actors are still being compared to James Dean. Remember first photo shoots of Leonardo di Caprio or mentioned before Robert Pattinson? Every cover was screaming: The New Beau and his life! I am screaming ENOUGH! Cause even if the show is spectacular, made with passion and the big names on the screen - it is still easy to cross a border and ruin a legend - the prototype that was not only incredible but also unique. And Galliano has ruined Chaplin with this collection. Instead of a colorful, funny vision of a great comic he has shown us Charlie, interrupted.
